Make Your Own Bootable Windows XP Install Disk

So, as much as I try to stay away from Winblows in general, I do have members of my family that insist on using it. It's funny how I and my friends used to joke about how difficult the install of linux was compared to windows; and now the complete opposite is true, especially if you don't have a floppy drive and need some SATA drivers that (of course) are not on the XP disc. This where nLite steps in…and steps in big time.

nLite is simply an amazingly useful piece of windows freeware. It is an easy to use program that allows you to build your own custom windows XP install disc. Not only can you add drivers to the installer to get around the floppy issue, but you can also do things like remove windows components you don't want, set up users, set it for a completely unattended install, etc. In short, if you are the tech monkey for your family, like I am for mine, this software is an absolute must-have.
